Since Christmas and New Year Eve is approaching i'm suggesting you a very easy recipe: homemade truffles, but much healthier than any chocolate or truffle that you can buy.

Get inspired with this recipe and prepare your chocolate candies at home, you can also make them as gifts, in a small box or in a small bag they are always a nice touch.

This Christmas prepare your homemade sweets with less sugar and less unhealthy fats.

Given the huge amount of products fully loaded with sugar that you will find these days everywhere, it is interesting to have healthier alternatives. These truffles are a good example of this, they only carry 4 ingredients and their preparation is very simple and easy.

Truffles

If there is something that strikes me about this type of candy is that you take one, or even two, and you do not have the sensation of thirst left by industrial sweets, you will feel good. And that is because they do not contain so much sugar and the fats come from the almond, so they are healthy and easy to digest.

They are very easy to prepare, you need a good chocolate, I used a 100% cocoa tablet, with no added sugar, almond milk, also unsweetened, almond butter.

Use cocoa without sugar to prepare your Christmas desserts and add your favorite sweetener. Control the ingredients.

To give them the sweet touch of coconut sugar, which within the natural sugars is one of those with a lower GI, although you can use birch or stevia sugar. Another option is to add crushed dates.

Inside each truffle I have put an almond, you can also put a hazelnut, that way you will remember more the famous chocolates that carry it.

To coat them on the outside I mixed pure cocoa powder, ground cinnamon and a little bit of coconut sugar.

You just have to melt the chocolate with the milk in a bowl, you can do it in the microwave, add the almond butter, the sweetener you choose, mix very well and form small balls putting an almond or a hazelnut in each one, then coat each one in the cocoa mixture and reserve them on a plate.

Prepare these truffles to give to your hosts when you go as a guest, they are a beautiful and tasty present.

Once you have molded them, store them in the fridge and let them cool at least 3 or 4 hours. Very cold they are delicious.
