I know what you are thinking, in the famous batch cooking, which is obviously a great way to organize, but at the same time requires some discipline, because spending 5 or 6 hours in a row cooking for the whole week is not always possible.
In addition, many people do not like to repeat side dishes or stews several times and surely you can prepare your meals in tupper for work, but what about dinners?
Yes, that the idea of batch cooking I like it, but being realistic, it does not seem so viable and easy to undertake.
Another problem of batch cooking For me it is that I do not have enough space in the refrigerator to store so many containers with food, if you do, great, but if not, how do you keep so many stews at the same time?
Sometimes organize a tetris in the fridge is not so simple.
What I do is simply take advantage of free time (2-3 hours) to make different recipes that can solve dinners or meals in the following days.
I do not necessarily do it on the weekend, I take advantage of a morning or an afternoon when I am less busy to cook it or the noon hours, where there is always a gap.

The basic ingredient is minced meat, it can be veal, or beef and pork, you can also use minced chicken meat, I leave it to your choice.
Bacon or smoked bacon are usually added to meat rolls, well, I don't have it, so I change it for jerky.
I have decided to add cheese and some wild asparagus, when I cut the slices it will show something green in the center and I think it can be very good.
I also add some fresh sausages in the center, I usually buy some local ones that are delicious and I'm sure they will also boost the final result.
The most important thing is to season the meat to give it flavor, you can also make a sauce and add it as a filling, but I prefer to prepare a good vegetable sauce to accompany it.
In this recipe I do not add many spices, only those necessary to provide a special point of flavor, but I avoid cayenne, cumin, cinnamon, I do not add mustard or Perrins sauce, I love both things, but this time the recipe is already familiar. children tend to be more “plain”.
The result has been great, tasty and to everyone's liking.
Once cold, cut it thin and eat it like a cold cuts.
After a few days you can cut this meat roll into thin slices and eat it as if it were a cold meat, it is delicious, you can add it to a sandwich, toast or take it alone with cheese, nuts, etc.

Ingredients
The meat
- 500 g minced beef Or mix of beef and pork
- 1 cdita sea salt
- 1 cdita garlic powder
- 1 cdita Dried oregano
- 1 cdita dry thyme
- 1 cdita dried peppermint
- 1/2 cdita ground white pepper
- 2 cdas whole milk Or vegetable milk
The filling
- 2 fresh sausages
- 4 slices of jerky
- 3 slices Gouda cheese Or the one you like the most
- 12 fine wild asparagus
The sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- 75 g chive 1 pc
- 100 g leek 1 pc
- 100 g carrot 1 pc
- 200 g canned chopped natural tomato half can
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 cup chicken soup Or vegetables
- 1/2 cdita turmeric
- 1 pinch ground white pepper
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 tbsp cream cheese Optional
Elaboration step by step
Stuffed Meatloaf
- In a bowl mix the meat with all the spices and salt, add the milk and knead very well. While you prepare the ingredients for the filling, keep the already kneaded meat in the fridge so that it takes on a consistency.
- After a few minutes, spread plastic wrap on the kitchen bench, put the meat on the film, spread it manually over the entire surface forming a rectangle.
- In the central part, put the ingredients for the filling, but in an orderly manner, first the slices of jerky, then the cheese, in the center the sausages and next to them the asparagus.
- Roll the meat, help yourself with the plastic wrap to shape it, make sure it is uniform, with the same thickness on the different sides.
- Bake the meat roll at 180ºC for 30-35 minutes. While preparing the sauce.
Vegetable sauce
- In a small pot, sauté the chives and leeks, cut in julienne strips, with a tbsp of extra virgin olive oil.
- Add the carrot, peeled and cut into pieces. Sauté.
- Add the chopped natural tomato, and fry as well.
- Now put the spices, you can vary them to your liking. I like to put turmeric because in addition to flavor it gives a lot of color.
- Add the broth and cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Crush the sauce and add a tablespoon of cream cheese to make it softer. (Cream cheese is optional).
