BAKED APPLES WITH CITRUS

Si decides tomar un postre sano, decántate por unas manzanas asadas con canela, naranja y limón, no necesitan azúcar, quedan muy jugosas y aromáticas.

Baked apples with cinnamon, orange and lemon, without sugar or sweeteners, in their own juice, full of flavor and with a very tender texture, I can’t think of a simpler and more delicious dessert at the same time.

Oven-baked apples need very little; when cooked, they extract their own juices and all their natural sweetness. It’s the perfect dessert after a light meal.

Baked apples with spices, orange and lemon are a healthy and delicious dessert.

We are in the perfect time of year to prepare this dish. Citrus fruits abound and apples are also in season. It’s a shame that it is increasingly difficult to find this type of desserts in restaurants, it seems that the competition is to see who makes the sweetest and most cloying dessert.

I am very tired of not being able to order anything when I am in a restaurant and I want that sweet touch at the end of the meal, it is true that many times I don’t even think about it, but other times I stare at other people’s plates and feel marginalized for not having options.

Las Baked apples are ideal when you feel like dessert, but want something light and simple, they are suitable for everyone and more than satisfy that need for something sweet at the end of the meal.

To prepare this recipe you can use different varieties, I usually bake golden apples because they have a texture that is smooth enough not to fall apart, but they are very juicy and their flavor is acidic and sweet at the same time.

In addition, this variety stands out for having a lot of aroma, which greatly enriches the final result.

Apples are rich in fructose, as are dates, pears, carrots and beets, so if you are diabetic, control your consumption and if your body does not absorb it correctly, you may have to avoid them.

The golden variety is perfect for preparing baked apples, it is characterized by being smooth, juicy and sweet.

Fructose is a natural sugar found in fruits. It is a monosaccharide, just like glucose, and its effect on blood glucose levels is the same.

If you’ve ever heard that fructose is suitable for diabetics, be very clear that this is NOT the case. Fructose is as harmful as glucose and our bodies metabolize it in a very similar way to alcohol.

This statement may surprise you, but it is true. Fructose is metabolized, like ethanol, in the liver and causes insulin resistance, in addition to promoting the development of diseases that make up the so-called metabolic syndrome.

Excessive consumption of fructose can cause the accumulation of fat in the belly (increase in waist circumference) and, as a consequence, an increased risk of suffering from diseases cardiovascular.

Fructose is found mainly in fruits and honey, eating fruit is very healthy, it provides vitamins, minerals, fiber, but excess, especially if your life is sedentary, can cause problems.

An apple a day will not hurt you, I assure you, but make sure you move and lead an active life.

The apple is rich in fructose, but it also provides many vitamins and fiber.

Properties and benefits of the apple:

The apple has multiple benefits for our health, the English saying is well known “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, and consuming Eating apples regularly can help us in many ways, but as I mentioned before, we should not underestimate their fructose content. Apples are diuretic and purifying, antacid, anti-inflammatory, reduce blood pressure, have expectorant properties and contribute to maintaining dental health. It contains pectins that act as soluble fiber and help control cholesterol and diabetes. It also contains amino acids and is a natural antihistamine.

  • They are rich in fructose, although it depends on the variety.
  • Contains a lot of water, more than 80% of its weight.
  • Contains several vitamins, A, C, B1, B2 and E
  • Low in carbohydrates (HC).
